BRAY CAP 2044 - Photo feedback from your collective work!
Our talented artists
Singer, pianist,
Maïa enchanted us in the Chapel between each of the historical evocations of the Priory by performing the following works for us:
- The Exquisite Hour - Reynaldo Hahn
- Youkali - Hurt Weill
And other musical parts at the service of the event, adapting with extraordinary ease...
Amance embodies the revival of the French music scene, seamlessly navigating the confluence of musical genres. From pop to classical to electro, she blends these genres in a captivating style enhanced by her talents as an accomplished cellist.

EXCERPT FROM THE EVENING
HISTORICAL POINT ON THE PRIORY
Laurent Sirot - 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
"Since 1998, our families have been trying to breathe new life into the Priory. All of this has been possible thanks to the mobilization of as many people as possible... Each one has contributed in their own way to making Bray an ever more welcoming and creative place!
Historical research, restoration projects, clearing, planting, development, creation of new spaces, conferences, colloquiums, seminars, exhibitions, concerts, shows, etc.
Nothing could have been done without the encouragement or contribution of a few hours... or a few years, of the residents, neighbors, members of your families and many friends, devoted and discreet, who knew how to "contribute their stone" and "support" our projects!
Before launching this anniversary evening, we would like to express our deep gratitude to the friends of the Priory who have left us!
Gérard Barthélémy, Roger Bechet, Yves Boiret, Philippe Bonnet-Laborderie, Jeanne Bovet, Mgr Henri Brincard, Yves Bucaille, Patrice Cornu, Jean-Claude Curtil, Nicole Daïeff, Michel Debray, Claude Finon, Roland Gruart, Françoise de Lastic, Michael Lonsdale, Pierre Perroton, Nicole and Jacques Plasmans, Suzanne and Jacques Rauscent… They all participated in our adventure! We have not forgotten them and we have a thought for each of them.
Many of you have also contributed...
I would particularly like to thank the friendly and loyal families who have encouraged us for more than 20 years!
I want to name these families... There are many of them...
Auger, Augier, Battle, Beaucorps, Bédoyère, Bernaux, Besset, Beurtheret, Boidin, Bongiovanni, Bordier, Bouly, Bouthors, Buyer, Chardonnet, David, Denain, Desmoulière, Dovonou, Duchaufour, Ferchaud, Forte, Frachon, Galmiche, Gottardo, Grenier, Guisset, Heurteur, Houette, Jomard, Koudrine, Largillier, Levivier, Lézier, L'Helgoualc'h, Maillard, Madelin, Mallez, Maubon, Montmarin, Motte, Patria, Peters, Pollet, Potez, Saunier, Tordeur, Turlure, Vacher, Varin, Vergucht, Vivant, Vujicic, Wallin, Zaraoui…
And many other people and families that we can't all name!
These many friends of the Priory have helped to give courage to the teams on the construction sites, which have been incessant for 25 years... A big thank you to the residents, craftsmen, and companies who have worked here and have passionately restored these buildings, to make them what you see today!
In 1998 , with our children, we moved into the Priory. Our goal was to restore part of the buildings to accommodate several families...
In 2003 , young heritage architects, Thomas Gaudig, Perrine Leclerc and Guillaume Moine, at the end of their studies at the Ecole de Chaillot, became passionate about the site and convinced us to carry out a study, then gradually led us towards submitting a file for the overall restoration of the priory church, to the attention of the Regional Conservator of Historic Monuments...
In 2004 , the Drac (Regional Directorate for Regional Development) gave its approval. The project was launched despite the lack of financial support from the State. It would last 10 years!
In 1996, the Lelu company in Pimprez carried out a decisive phase with the complete renovation of the roof (framework and covering), a decisive step facilitating the restoration of the building as a whole...
Testimony of Loïc Lelu…
From 2004 to 2013 , the project was carried out on the ground, with efficiency and care, by Denis Milard… numerous contributors, experts, restorers each in their own field helped to make it an exemplary restoration… We are thinking of Emmanuelle Cadet, Géraldine Victoir, Isabelle Baudoin, Jean Délivré, Didier Lézier, Eric Léonet, Philippe Racinet…

In 2004 , with the invaluable help of René Gossye, Larbi Zaaraoui and Mohamed Khouakhi, the Saunier, L'Helgoualc'h and Sirot families continued to clear land, plant, rebuild walls, create gardens and lay out paths...
2005 , at the Priory, all forces are once again united for a memorable event… Peau d’âne at the Priory… 2500 people in 3 days… a show imagined and directed by Marie-Anne de Bertier… Unforgettable memories… Bravo Marie-Anne!
2006 , A new show “Au temps de Bray”, of which we have just heard the music and the historical story… it is the acceleration of the work on the Chapel… and the first interventions in the chapel by Denis Milard and his team…
From 2007 to 2013 , construction work on the chapel was in full swing. The Grange Saint-Augustin was also restored and hosted conferences, concerts, exhibitions, a cartoon festival... and soon our 20th anniversary party!
Thanks to Christine Bourcey, Ghyslaine Fizet, Jean-Claude Francolon, Patrice Gelinet, Sarah Lavaud, Stéphanie Lefèvre, Jean-Claude Madelin, Patrice Mazmanian, Paul-Hubert des Mesnards, Bertrand Périer, Michèle and André Rot, Danièle Sallenave, Arnaud Timbert...

2011 , at the Priory, the show continues with the famous “Cyrano de Bergerac”, rehearsals, construction of the sets, logistics… everyone is on deck!
Testimony of Françoise Debray…
Is Cyrano in the room? [Laurent Thémans starts the tirade with his nose]
2013 , the chapel is largely restored. The Priory hosts the wedding of Charles and Louise… It is the year of the anniversary of the founding of the Priory… 750 years! It is also the culmination for the friends, the inhabitants of the priory, the chapel restoration teams, of 10 years of spectacular work!
2015 , The show “A burst of stone and light” allows everyone to discover the fully restored chapel and brings together talents for unforgettable evenings!
Thanks to Marie-Catherine Conti, Nikolas Kerkenrath, Sonia Gros, Fabien Bellagamba, Laurent Thémans
2017 , Arrival of Jérémy Varin who sets up the new vegetable gardens and orchards
2018 , Installation by Mathilde Perrichon who creates “Mathilde’s Plants”
2019 , Numerous projects have been ongoing for 5 years to allow us to celebrate the 20th anniversary in an even more welcoming place, thanks to the gradual restoration of the old farm. Numerous discussions with the Drac and the Municipality have enabled us to carry out a quality project. We would like to thank Viviane Tondelier, Mayor of Rully, present here, and her team for their support.
